Goddess of Marriage: Episode 20 Recap

There's even no recap written for episode 1, yet I am doing one for episode 20?!? There are so many things already happened and so much to tell, so I decided to just do this for the recent aired episode. Before I recount the scenes, I will post a story background so that we would not be lost in the story.

Let's start.

Episode 20 opening scene:  Hye Jeong's secretary found out that a photo scandal has been sent to her email. She was so devastated and don't know what to do that she seek the person she knew who maybe involved in leaking her picture. She wasn't able to attend the family's grand breakfast and wasn't able to come to the hotel the next morning to perform her duties. Later in this episode, it would be revealed that it was a picture with an old flame inside a hotel. They we're not naked, she's even wearing a white lingerie. What's so wrong with that? It was a picture with a previous relationship that was made discreet.

Hye Jeong is married to a rich business owner who, later on, ran into politics, to which her father-in law strongly disagreed.  But when her husband won, his FIL became happy. Her husband is continuously entering into casual sex relationships with women. She permits, but then she makes sure that her husband would still go home at night and sleep with her.

She was a radio/tv announcer before she married. For the last 7 years, she was made as the main household helper by her rich husband's family where she prepares grand breakfast, do household chores and ran errands. All of these in exchange of the expensive material things she receives from her husband. The FIL thought that her husband may neglect his duties on their hotel business when he entered into politics, that's the time he saw her potential to manage it and replaced her husband as the young director of the company.

Next scene: My favorite couple - Ji Hye and Hyun Woo.

Ji Hye inside her car, called up Hyun Woo, asking him to have a dinner with her. How convenient. After avoiding him for almost a year since she got married, she managed to call Hyun Woo, asking him, not to love her (take note) but to have a dinner with him. Why? Because, she and her husband decided to go abroad (New York) to temporary leave their very stressful environment (the husband's complicated family) and to try to conceive a baby. How inconsiderate of her, knowing that this guy is so much in to her and tell him that she can meet and talk to him comfortably knowing that everything about them is past behind. She doesn't even know that Hyun Woo is engaged to his college schoolmate.

How she brightens upon sight of Hyun Woo. Me as well.

Ji Hye met Hyun Woo in a Jeju Island one summer. That's the first episode, it was perfect. Strangers meeting at the most romantic island in Korea. They've made friends with each other and, of course, had a one night stand. It may sound like a very casual one, but no, they made it look so passionately that I am rooting for them to be together, but as this kind of story goes, the writer would do anything to keep them apart and would not end up with each other. :(

Ji Hye broke up with her boyfriend when she went to Jeju and met Hyun Woo. When she got back to Seoul, she reconciled with her bf and got married. On the other hand, our very much single Hyun Woo at that time, kept bumping with Ji Hye at the city, to which he learned that she's engaged on her bf. Hyun Woo felt so broken hearted. When they met the last time she was single, Ji Hye told her to stop seeing each other and what happened back at Jeju was a mistake. If she would take it back, she swore that she will never cross the path where she met him. Ouch! Hyun Woo became drunkard, until he realized that he should accept that they could never be together and should move on. What a very sad story.

This is very tiring to do. I think I shall pause here and come back later.
